ABOUT - ANTON SUNBERRY

Anton Sunberry is a well-known Ukrainian author of children’s picture books and transmedia projects, some of which have already been turned into TV programs, interactive applications, and an animated feature film. Anton is a supporter of children’s edutainment and а cofounder of Superkids Tips, which is a parents’ community that teaches children how to cope with challenges at home, on the streets, at school, and with friends and family.

The first international success of one of Anton Sunberry’s projects was in 2010. An interactive application created based on the first book of the Rainbow Dragons series was included in the TOP-5 AppStore List in the “Books & References” category.

Immediately following the publication of the Rainbow Dragons interactive book for Android and Windows 8 came out in 2012, www.Bestwindows8apps.net recognized Rainbow Dragons for having the most interesting and memorable characters. Microsoft, Lenovo, and McDonald’s approved Rainbow Dragons to be a part of their regional and international promotions.

From 2012 to 2014, 28 stories about Rainbow Dragons, Nicky Tanner, and Willy Tilley were included in the TOP-100 children’s fairy tales selected by the Plus Plus TV Channel for a social project called “A Fairy Tale with Daddy.” The goal of this TV project was to popularize the tradition of family reading. The children’s books were read by famous actors, singers, TV presenters, and sportsmen, while the illustrations were animated with the help of the latest computer technology.

In 2015, the illustrated book Willy Tilley was included in the TOP-3 BBC Ukraine award for the “Children’s Book of the Year”.

In the same year, Anton became a cofounder of Superkids Tips, a parents’ community that offers children and their parents simple and effective tips for improving their lives. The community’s Facebook page has almost 13,000 subscribers.

A full-length animated cartoon, The Dragon Spell (2016), based on Anton Sunberry’s book Nicky Tanner and the Fire-Flower, was purchased for distribution in 60 countries.

Anton’s recent project entails publishing 10 picture books on Amazon.com, each of which will be the beginning of a separate book series.
